Metro serves Belfast and its suburbs and most of its 12 services start and finish at City Hall in Donegall Square. Fares can be paid on boarding or you can buy Smartlink multi-journey tickets. Travel cards are available in shops displaying the Metro sign, or from the Metro Kiosk in Donegall Square West. Smartlink Multi-Journey & Travel Cards are valid for use on all Metro services. The 'Nightlink' service is a convenient, cost effective and reliable late night service 'home' from Belfast city centre on Saturday nights, running at 01:00 hrs and 02:00 hrs.
Ulsterbus operates services to all parts of Northern Ireland and some cross border destinations from either the Europa or Laganside Bus Centres.
Northern Ireland Railways has four main lines to Larne, Bangor, Londonderry/Portrush, and also operates the Enterprise service to Dublin. Trains leave from Central Station, near the Waterfront, and Great Victoria Street Station.
There are taxi ranks at City Hall, the Crown Bar, airports and main stations. The West Belfast Taxi Association run special black taxis on several routes along the Falls Road from their Castle Junction base in the city centre, near the back of CastleCourt shopping centre. These taxis are shared and will pick up and set down anywhere along the route for a flat fee of £1.10.
